Filter Royale

South Indian filter coffee, dialed in

Filter Royale is South Indian filter coffee the way it actually tastes back home. Three components: Araku Valley Arabica from the Eastern Ghats for chocolate-jaggery body, Tamil Nadu washed Robusta AA (Screen 18, shade-grown alongside pepper and areca nut at 1,200m) for the dark-chocolate, almond, and cedar punch, and roasted chicory for that distinctive caramel-malt depth a tumbler-and-davara pour cannot exist without.

The Arabica is Araku Valley smallholder lots from the Eastern Ghats — chemical-free, native-forest canopy, the same source as our flagship Araku. The Robusta comes from multi-generational Tamil Nadu farming families in the Western and Eastern Ghats — washed Robusta AA, Screen 18, hand-picked at 1,200m, traditionally dried to 9.1% moisture, often shade-grown alongside pepper and areca nut. Chicory rounds out the blend in the South Indian filter coffee tradition.

What you taste

Araku Arabica is hand-picked and washed in the Eastern Ghats by smallholder families farming under native forest canopy.

The Robusta AA is sourced from multi-generational families in Tamil Nadu's Western and Eastern Ghats — washed, dried traditionally to 9.1% moisture, and shade-grown alongside pepper and areca nut at 1,200m (an 85-cup-score lot). Chicory root is roasted and ground separately, then blended in the traditional South Indian ratio for that signature depth.
